For us as an Atlassian partner, it was clear: we had to be there. A day in Munich filled with customer stories, expert breakouts, hands-on sessions, and plenty of exchange with the Atlassian community.

AI with substance: Rovo in action
AI was the dominant topic – but refreshingly practical. Atlassian demonstrated with Rovo live, what AI-driven automation looks like in practice: A Loom recording automatically detects a bug, creates a Jira ticket with full context, and a Rovo agent assesses severity and suggests fixes – before a developer even opens the ticket.
The key differentiator: AI is not deployed as a separate tool but embedded directly into existing workflows. Automated reports, stakeholder updates, triage – all without any disruption to the user experience.
The AI Paradox: More Code ≠ More Value
One thought that particularly stayed with us: the feeling of productivity and actual business value are not the same. The bottlenecks often lie not in code generation, but end-to-end – from requirements through alignment to compliance and regulation.

Security and Governance in the Cloud
A topic that is particularly critical in Europe right now: Data Residency and Localization, granular permissions, auditability, and a structured governance model. Atlassian demonstrated how this works in the cloud – including a System Health Dashboard with real-time status and 90-day incident history.
Control is also a top priority with Rovo: group-based AI access, agent lifecycle controls, precise data indexing, and compliance certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
