What you will do
- Develop XALT’s Austrian market and build a qualified pipeline with companies, partners and professional communities.
- Lead customer conversations from the first idea to a credible initiative, while contributing hands-on to workshops, solution design and quality assurance in key Atlassian and AI engagements.
- Build the Vienna team, hire and develop people, and shape with the Managing Director how the location launches and grows.
- Make XALT visible across Austria’s Atlassian, AI, DevOps and product communities: map relevant user groups, develop three reusable talk formats, and deliver at least twelve substantial talks in your first year.
- Turn project experience into useful, non-promotional talks in German and English, building lasting relationships with organisers and participants.
- Travel regularly to customers and events in Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and other regions of Austria.
- Keep pipeline, hiring, talks, decisions and next steps transparent in Jira and Confluence, using AI agents to accelerate research, preparation and follow-up.
- We will assess your work through qualified customer opportunities, satisfied customers, a growing local team and credible visibility in Austria’s professional community.
What you bring
- Several years of experience in Atlassian consulting, enterprise software, platform programmes or a comparable technology-led transformation field
- The ability to win customers and then support their initiatives through to delivery
- Experience building a team, business unit, location or active professional community
- Strong roots in Austria’s technology and business landscape, with a base in or around Vienna
- A proven track record as a speaker and the ability to explain complex subjects clearly in German and English without turning a talk into a sales pitch
- Entrepreneurial judgement, a strong sense of ownership and the willingness to work hands-on during an early build-up phase
- Willingness to travel throughout Austria
- At least one business, consulting or community process you have improved or automated yourself with AI and can demonstrate live during the application process

- A genuine mandate to build XALT in Austria, with direct access to the Managing Director and short decision paths
- €110,000–140,000 gross per year, depending on experience; we are open to going beyond this range for exceptional candidates

Your working arrangements
This is a full-time role anchored in Vienna. During the build-up phase, you will work flexibly and closely with our existing teams. You will help shape how the Vienna location launches and grows. What matters is that you build relationships locally while regularly visiting customers and communities throughout Austria.
