# XALT becomes an AWS Consulting Partner > XALT is now an official AWS Consulting Partner. Learn how we help companies with cloud migration and DevOps on AWS. At the beginning of the year, XALT already received the [Atlassian](https://atlassian.com) Gold Partner award. By the end of July 2021, it was finally time – we were appointed as an AWS Consulting Partner. What are we at XALT planning with this certification? And how we will use these new opportunities to support companies in the future in successfully implementing DevOps or migrating their software landscape to the cloud, you will learn in this article. ## Future-proof companies require a fault-tolerant IT infrastructure The cloud migration of an existing software landscape has never been more relevant than it is today. Performance, downtimes, and availability are important factors that have a direct influence on a company's business capability and additionally impact customer satisfaction. The demands of today's customers and users are far more diverse and established than they were just a few years ago. Due to the boundless availability of the internet and its direct impact on the workplace, it has become a necessity that production systems are permanently available from anywhere. By using AWS Cloud Computing solutions, we have managed to reduce these outages to a minimum for our customers and ensure availabilities of 99.95% and more. With solutions such as Blue-Green Deployments and the use of Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian Apps, and the implementation of DevOps culture, we also achieve that teams from various departments can collaborate more easily and efficiently. And thereby achieve direct and, above all, positive impacts on corporate goals. ## XALT's plans for 2021 and 2022 at a glance Together with the new AWS partnership, XALT is focusing on several points. Here is how things continue at XALT. - Migration of existing solutions, Atlassian plugins, and apps to the cloud to make them future-proof and to actively support our existing customers and partners - Further development of our existing apps and the development of new approaches. And the provision of [Jira Sync](https://www.xalt.de/en/advanced-issue-sync-for-jira/) as a Stand-Alone 3rd-Party Integration for Jira Software. - Growth in the DACH region and the USA. - Expansion of the teams in the areas of infrastructure, DevOps, development, sales, and marketing, distributed across our locations in Munich and Leipzig. ### Cloud Computing ensures greater flexibility For many companies, 2020 and 2021 will go down in company history as years of change and reorganization – this year, the potential of cloud computing becomes clear. In view of home office organization and remote work, a smoothly functioning software environment with digital processes and tools has become the key to the agility and long-term success of a company. In this sense, cloud computing based on AWS plays a crucial role. "We must internalize that a company, in addition to its employees, relies on the permanent availability of software. This includes all the tools of a company with which employees work day to day. Only when companies ensure this can all users fully concentrate on their work and truly be successful." - Philipp G. The migration of software to the cloud – such as Jira and Confluence from Atlassian – is still in its early stages for many German companies. A major advantage of migrating Atlassian tools to the cloud is that business processes can also be digitised and automated.
